Keep quiet because you know nothing.


CONCEPT

RATIONALE

As a human, please SHUT UP! I am sorry for this rudeness but people nowadays are too much. They keep talking and talking about MH370 but with no understanding and facts about that.

As I mention before we as normal citizen keep updating about MH370 from variety of sources:- news, social media, friends even spamming message to Whatsapp etc. So I am begging all people to shut up for a while and start search for facts before start talking about this issue. Moreover in concerning the feel of victim’s family who keep hoping MH370 to comeback, words must be filtered so no hard feeling happen. We must imagine that the 1 person from 239 passengers is our father then we know that we have to quiet.

On the authority of Abu Hurairah. The Messenger of Allah said: ”Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good things or keep silent.”

The idea is simple. By using simplicity it will get the eye attention because people do not like messy thing. I am highlighting the “Please keep quiet” sign and the headline so that these are the first thing they see. The body copy explains the advertisement. Words with no knowledge about it is useless plus the worst case scenario it will affect the situation. At the top left of the print advertisement, I place the well-known logo “Doakan MH370” so that people get a crystal clear view of what is this advertisement all about. Malaysia Airlines logo and website address is the information bar as anyone wants to know more about the issue can go to the website.

CONCEPT

Open the head and insert the MH370 plane


RATIONALE

The reason why people have to keep quiet is talking with no understanding and fact is including in speaking bad things. So we must get to know about MH370, from the timeline, reasoning, opinions to the background. A wise man talks less but when he starts talking others will talk less. This means must be wise and know about the issue so only wise words will out and world become more peace.

I urge people to do more concern on MH370 because the more you know, the more you help. Suggestion to the government or sharing facts to the public will ease the searching operation.

Simplicity still is the idea. Everything that please to the eye is catchier compared to the messy one which is a bit heavy for the eye. The head symbol is simple enough to understand that we must open our head and start inserting all information about MH370. It is quite clear so just little copy needed. The headline is highlighted with large font and catchy color so people read it. The body copy is only eight words because of the straight forward advertisement. Actually the color of headline and body copy is the color of Malaysia Airlines. As the advertisement created by BBC News, the information bar directly ask if you want to know more just go to the website. Malaysia Airlines logo is quite clear why it is there. Supporting and praying are always for the Malaysia Airlines plane.

Do not get tired even MH370 in the 44th day of searching.


CONCEPT

Hashtag of pray for MH370 getting disappear due to the time goes by.


RATIONAL

Almost everybody in this world aware of disappearance of MH370 on 8th March 2014. Malaysia government faces a big crisis in dealing MH370 issue but with the support of Malaysian and other countries, this issue been dealt and controlled well until now. Everybody keep supporting and praying for the comeback of MH370. They campaigned in all social network by using hashtag #PrayForMH370 and this campaign successfully make people aware, concern and pray for the plane. But by the time goes by, this issue becoming disappeared from the awareness and concern of people. It is the 44th day of disappearance of MH370 and people get tired of it. Maybe because of bundles of information and rumor about this case make people sick of it and tend to ignore it. Some people just waiting either the plane comeback or just disappear, he do not think of it much because he waited too long until the 44th day.

So this ad is all about campaigning people to not get tired of praying for MH370. As we know that hashtag is quite famous nowadays in social network. It is a style, ease the spreading of info and something to highlight. The design shows that the hashtag of #PrayForMH370 is getting disappear which means everybody easily get tired of keep praying and concerning of MH370 by the time goes by. But then a new hashtag appear said #KeepPraying to urge people to not get tired of it.

Allah is the most powerful and knowing everything.


RATIONAL

The disappearance of MH370 gets the world attention. Everybody keep talking and trying to help including too much talk and make it worse. This issue is not just about them but us. This make everybody wants to help. In Malaysia, each Malaysian feels the burden and wants to help. From the normal citizen to the shaman and to the administration of Malaysia government. Normal citizen keeps praying and searching for the right info. Out of nowhere shamans show up and do some ritual. Admins keep going on searching operation and updating the public. Everybody trying to help with their efforts. On top of that, other countries also contributing in searching for MH370. 26 countries send their assets joining the searching force.

And today is the 44th day of searching, still we cannot found the plane. At this point we should hold down and think of all we doing and then we will realize that all of our effort is depend on God’s wish. If Allah want to, He just say Kun (Be it) and poof Fayakun (it will be).


So this ad is urging the people to sit back and think of what all they have been doing and why all of it is almost nothing. Then we know that the most powerful is Allah the most gracious and knowing everything.

RATIONAL
Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. Bullying includes actions such as making threats, spreading rumors, attacking someone physically or verbally, and excluding someone from a group on purpose. From this ad we know that in school there is lots of bullying. This ad highlighting on how words have can kill someone. About 19000 bullied students attempt to commit suicide each year which mean it is not clearly the bullies kill them but the consequences in term of feeling.

For me this is bad psa video because the ending is the bullied person died. Imagine yourself in the bullied person shoes. Don’t you feel more scared because every person had been bullied will die like that. I mean, yes it is just a metaphor but it can influence the feeling to feel more scared and unsecured. Maybe you can say the psa video is for bullies so they know their actions have big consequences. But a good psa video must not give bad effect on the audience and the audience is all including bullies and bullied.

RATIONAL
There are many roles that students can play. Students can bully others, they can be bullied, or they may witness bullying. When students are involved in bullying, they often play more than one role and one of the important roles that must be played by all students is be friend with the bullied. Usually a bullied person is who have no friends or been alienated. The effect is no self-confidence. A friend for him will absolutely help to overcome this because friend is everything. I mean ‘friend’ who always with him to listen and help him in everything. It might be family or friend ‘friend’.

So about this ad, it is highlighting on how a friend help in 'Let me be' the one with him who have been bullied. This is a good psa video because the ending is happy ending or the bullied person is taken cared. This will give the audience especially those who experience been bullied a hope that they are not alone. Also the bullies will know how hurt been bullied.

As we know every fast thing have some forces that bring others tend to follow it. In cartoon like road runner, when he run almost everything follow him. Exactly like this advertisement. Mini Cooper try to describe himself as fast and steady by showing even the trees following it plus its copy “Let’s Motor”.

There’s something very special about the aroma of coffee. Just one whiff and your mood instantly perks up. What makes it so fascinating is that it contains as many as 1000 aromatic compounds that stimulate the coffee drinker's nose. So Nescafe describe this brand by showing that even the aroma of the coffee can be a perfume by portraying the perfume dispenser.

My IDOL

Idol is a person who inspires much in our life. Inspire in term of ideology, style, creativity and living.

Some people might say Prophet Muhammad pbuh is his idol because of his nobility, sincerity, romantic and a Prophet.



 Other people might say Albert Einstein is his idol because of his craziness in science creates something meaningful today.




While another person idolize Dato Seri Najib Razak in his skill in managing the country.




But for me I think I do not have a specific idol as in a person who inspires me a lot. I am a guy who inspired by the surrounding. Peers, colleagues and surrounding inspire me to be a creative person and a better man.




For example, at home my father teach and inspire me in how manage life in order and with discipline. Everything we plan in family we discuss it in a meeting so that everybody has their chance in voice out opinions. My mom inspires me in loving each other nevertheless things happen between us. Loving each other which means helping each other to enter paradise together. My siblings teach me in helping each other when in need or not. Every person in the family must practice to say “please, and thank you”.




In university, the lecturers inspire me on how smart study is and managing busy schedule between study, play and social life. By doing study plan, the vision is better in term of scheduling our life. Classmates and peers teach me on struggling in busy schedule and try to be the best among the best. GPA and CGPA are a good stimulant in competing each other to be the best.


I am a happy go lucky person. So even things happen around me I can take it as positive and keep smiling. Alhamdulillah for this happy feeling and I am really happy to have it. This how I make the surrounding as an idol for me in term of inspiring to be a better person.

Advertising or hiding?

"Doing business without advertising is like winking at a girl in the dark. You know what you are doing, but nobody else does"

This statement explain a lot about advertising. Advertising is all about advertise or make everyone know about something. For instance a product need advertising to make sell because people buy when they know and interest on it.

As we know in the A.I.D.A formula. Every action to buy something must start from the awareness of the product. Then go to interest on it, desire to buy and the last is action on buying it. So the most crucial part is the pleasant to the eye of the buyer so it catch his eye in the first place. There we practice a good advertising.

For an example, this picture. An advertising by Pepsi.


At the first sight we know the right can is Pepsi and the left still blur. But after look carefully we know that is Coca Cola. This is a good advertising because Pepsi not clearly state that is Coca Cola but the message delivered. As we know Pepsi and Coca Cola are rival in the coke industry since the 18th century until now. Both of them keep advertise in gaining A.I.D.A in the customer. About this ad, just a simple design and little text but explain much on how Pepsi wants to stress on Pepsi better than Coca Cola even the straw cannot enter the can.

Back to the statement "like winking at a girl in the dark". This explain much on how advertising and business complimenting each other. Winking as the business and the dark room is how the man advertise himself. So its like nothing because the girl cannot see the wink. Same goes as bad advertising, the customer actually did not get anything. No interest, desire and of course the action.

These are some good and bad advertising. You decide which is good or not.
